Why does Atlanta go outside? To Grill! Grilling season is here, so get your curling irons out! WHAT? Okay, I’m taking a little creative liberty here with Authenteak’s new grilling accessory from Looft. Bottom line, this new device will fully light charcoal within 5 minutes, and yes I want one. Eric Brenner, the co-owner of Authenteak, was kind enough to demonstrate this new “green” device during our recent visit to the showroom.

Eric also shared with us several new American-made products that will make your backyard an original in your ‘hood. In fact, he turned us on to the new Kamado Joeceramic grill manufactured in nearby Flowery Branch. The Big Green Egg competitor is setting a new benchmark for the industry, and we local Atlanta outdoor cooks get to benefit from it!

During my visit, I also saw several new outdoor furniture collections such as the Cloud Collection by Gloster, a standout if you are looking for a durable, modern-style sectional system for your back deck. The best part is you can leave the cushions out all year long because they are weather-proof and waterproof, which is perfect for all-season outdoor living in Atlanta.
